Your receiver may only be able to receive public broadcasting channels and foreign private channels due to the limitations of its built-in tuner. Public broadcasting channels are typically available for free over the airwaves, while foreign private channels may be accessible through satellite or cable subscriptions. It is possible that your receiver does not have the necessary capabilities to access other types of channels, such as local private channels or premium cable channels. Upgrading to a more advanced receiver or subscribing to additional services may expand the range of channels you can receive. **

Hisense TVs do not receive public broadcasting channels because they do not have built-in tuners that are compatible with the ATSC (Advanced Television Systems Committee) standard used for over-the-air broadcasting in the United States. This means that without an external tuner or antenna, Hisense TVs are unable to pick up public broadcasting channels. To access these channels, viewers would need to connect an external tuner or antenna to their Hisense TV. **
